Idarubicin
Idarubicin or 4-demethoxydaunorubicin is an anthracycline antileukemic drug. It inserts itself into DNA and prevents DNA unwinding by interfering with the enzyme topoisomerase II. It is an analog of daunorubicin, but the absence of a methoxy group increases its fat solubility and cellular uptake. Similar to other anthracyclines, it also induces histone eviction from chromatin.
Idarubicin หรือ 4-demethoxydaunorubicin เป็นยาต้านมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาว (antileukemic) ในกลุ่มแอนทราไซคลีน (anthracycline) โดยออกฤทธิ์ด้วยการสอดแทรกเข้าไปใน DNA และป้องกันการคลายเกลียวของ DNA ผ่านการรบกวนเอนไซม์ topoisomerase II ยานี้เป็นอนาล็อกของ daunorubicin แต่การไม่มีหมู่เมทอกซี (methoxy) ทำให้มีความละลายในไขมันและการดูดซึมเข้าสู่เซลล์เพิ่มขึ้น นอกจากนี้ คล้ายกับ anthracycline ชนิดอื่น ๆ ยายังทำให้เกิดการปลด histone ออกจาก chromatin
