Selenium disulfide, also known as selenium sulfide, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula SeS₂ and a molecular weight of 143.1 g/mol.[1][2] It appears as a bright orange powder that is insoluble in water but soluble in carbon disulfide and acids, with a melting point of 111°C.[3] The compound is toxic by ingestion and inhalation and can irritate the skin and eyes, necessitating careful handling.[1]
