Lapatinib (INN), used in the form of lapatinib ditosylate (USAN) is an orally active drug for breast cancer and other solid tumours. It is a dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor which interrupts the HER2/neu and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) pathways. It is used in combination therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer. It is used for the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose tumors overexpress HER2 (ErbB2).

Lapatinib (INN) ซึ่งใช้ในรูปแบบ lapatinib ditosylate (USAN) เป็นยาที่ออกฤทธิ์เมื่อรับประทานสำหรับมะเร็งเต้านมและเนื้องอกเซลล์เนื้อแข็งชนิดอื่น ๆ เป็นตัวยับยั้งไทโรซีนไคเนสแบบคู่ (dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor) ซึ่งขัดจังหวะวิถีการทำงานของ HER2/neu และตัวรับปัจจัยการเจริญเติบโตของหนังกำพร้า (epidermal growth factor receptor; EGFR) ใช้ในการรักษาแบบใช้ร่วมกัน (combination therapy) สำหรับมะเร็งเต้านมที่มี HER2 เป็นบวก ใช้สำหรับการรักษาผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเต้านมระยะลุกลามหรือระยะแพร่กระจายที่มีเนื้องอกแสดงออกของ HER2 (ErbB2) มากเกินปกติ
