Terbinafine is a synthetic allylamine antifungal agent used to treat a variety of superficial fungal infections caused by dermatophytes, including onychomycosis of the fingernails and toenails, tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), and tinea capitis (scalp ringworm).[1][2]
