Prucalopride
Prucalopride, sold under brand names Resolor and Motegrity among others, is a medication acting as a selective, high affinity 5-HT4 receptor agonist which targets the impaired motility associated with chronic constipation, thus normalizing bowel movements. Prucalopride was approved for medical use in the European Union in 2009, in Canada in 2011, and in the United States in December 2018.
Prucalopride วางจำหน่ายภายใต้ชื่อการค้า Resolor และ Motegrity เป็นต้น เป็นยาที่ออกฤทธิ์เป็นอะโกนิสต์ต่อตัวรับ 5-HT4 แบบจำเพาะ (selective) ที่มีความสัมพันธ์ (affinity) สูง ซึ่งออกฤทธิ์ต่อความผิดปกติของการเคลื่อนไหวของลำไส้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอาการท้องผูกเรื้อรัง จึงช่วยทำให้การถ่ายอุจจาระเป็นปกติ Prucalopride ได้รับการรับรองให้ใช้ทางการแพทย์ในสหภาพยุโรปเมื่อปี 2009 ในแคนาดาเมื่อปี 2011 และในสหรัฐอเมริกาเมื่อเดือนธันวาคม 2018
