Wikipedia Diphenylpyraline

Diphenylpyraline is a first-generation antihistamine with anticholinergic effects of the diphenylpiperidine class. It is marketed in Europe for the treatment of allergies. DPP has also been found to act as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and produces hyperactivity in rodents. It has been shown to be useful in the treatment of Parkinsonism.

ไดฟีนิลไพราลีน (Diphenylpyraline) เป็นยาต้านฮิสตามีนรุ่นที่หนึ่ง (first-generation antihistamine) ที่มีฤทธิ์ต้านคอลิเนอร์จิก (anticholinergic) จัดอยู่ในกลุ่มไดฟีนิลไปเปอริดีน (diphenylpiperidine) มีการวางจำหน่ายในยุโรปเพื่อใช้รักษาโรคภูมิแพ้ นอกจากนี้ DPP ยังถูกพบว่าออกฤทธิ์เป็นตัวยับยั้งการดูดกลับของโดปามีน (dopamine reuptake inhibitor) และทำให้เกิดภาวะซนมากเกินไป (hyperactivity) ในสัตว์ฟันแทะ อีกทั้งยังแสดงให้เห็นว่ามีประโยชน์ในการรักษากลุ่มอาการพาร์กินสัน (Parkinsonism)
