Levipil

Levetiracetam (/lɛvɪtɪˈræsɪtæm/, LEE-veh-ty-RA-seh-tam) is a novel antiepileptic drug approved for the treatment of partial-onset seizures, myoclonic seizures, and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients with epilepsy.[1] It is chemically unrelated to other antiepileptic medications and is available in oral and intravenous formulations, often used as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy. Developed in the 1990s, levetiracetam was first approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1999 under the brand name Keppra, and it has since become one of the most commonly prescribed antiepileptics due to its favorable pharmacokinetic profile.[2]
