Entecavir is a guanosine nucleoside analogue antiviral medication specifically designed to treat chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection by inhibiting viral DNA polymerase and suppressing HBV replication.[1] Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005 under the brand name Baraclude, it is available in tablet form (0.5 mg and 1 mg) and as an oral solution (0.05 mg/mL), making it suitable for adults and pediatric patients aged 2 years and older weighing at least 10 kg.[2]
Entecavir เป็นยาต้านไวรัสกลุ่มอะนาล็อกนิวคลีโอไซด์ของ guanosine (guanosine nucleoside analogue) ที่พัฒนาขึ้นโดยเฉพาะสำหรับรักษาการติดเชื้อไวรัสตับอักเสบบีเรื้อรัง (chronic hepatitis B virus; HBV) โดยออกฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเอนไซม์ DNA polymerase ของไวรัสและยับยั้งการจำลองตัว (replication) ของ HBV[1] ได้รับการรับรองจากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการอาหารและยาแห่งสหรัฐอเมริกา (U.S. Food and Drug Administration; FDA) เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2005 ภายใต้ชื่อการค้า Baraclude มีจำหน่ายในรูปแบบยาเม็ด (0.5 mg และ 1 mg) และยาน้ำสำหรับรับประทาน (0.05 mg/mL) จึงเหมาะสำหรับใช้ในผู้ใหญ่และผู้ป่วยเด็กอายุ 2 ปีขึ้นไปที่มีน้ำหนักตัวอย่างน้อย 10 kg[2]
