Pheniramine
Pheniramine is an antihistamine with anticholinergic properties used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever or urticaria. It has relatively strong sedative effects, and may sometimes be used off-label as an over-the-counter sleeping pill in a similar manner to other sedating antihistamines such as diphenhydramine. Pheniramine is also commonly found in eyedrops used for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.
Pheniramine เป็นยาต้านฮิสทามีน (antihistamine) ที่มีฤทธิ์ต้านคอลิเนอร์จิก (anticholinergic) ใช้สำหรับรักษาภาวะภูมิแพ้ เช่น ไข้ละอองฟาง (hay fever) หรือลมพิษ (urticaria) ยานี้มีฤทธิ์ทำให้ง่วงซึม (sedative) ค่อนข้างแรง และบางครั้งอาจถูกใช้นอกเหนือข้อบ่งชี้ (off-label) เป็นยานอนหลับที่จำหน่ายได้เองโดยไม่ต้องมีใบสั่งแพทย์ ในลักษณะเดียวกันกับยาต้านฮิสทามีนที่มีฤทธิ์ทำให้ง่วงนอนชนิดอื่น เช่น diphenhydramine นอกจากนี้ Pheniramine ยังพบได้ทั่วไปในยาหยอดตาที่ใช้รักษาเยื่อบุตาอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ (allergic conjunctivitis)
