Wikipedia Oseltamivir
Oseltamivir, sold under the brand name Tamiflu among others, is an antiviral medication used to treat and prevent influenza A and influenza B, viruses that cause the flu. Many medical organizations recommend it in people who have complications or are at high risk of complications within 48 hours of first symptoms of infection. They recommend it to prevent infection in those at high risk, but not the general population. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that clinicians use their discretion to treat those at lower risk who present within 48 hours of first symptoms of infection. It is taken by mouth, either as a pill or liquid.

Grokipedia Oseltamivir
Oseltamivir is an oral antiviral prodrug indicated for the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza A and B infections in patients two weeks of age and older who have been symptomatic for no more than two days, as well as for post-exposure prophylaxis in individuals one year and older.[1][2] Developed by Gilead Sciences and marketed by Roche under the brand name Tamiflu, it functions as a neuraminidase inhibitor; after hydrolysis in the liver to its active carboxylate metabolite, this compound competitively binds to the active site of the viral neuraminidase enzyme, thereby inhibiting the cleavage of sialic acid residues on host cells and preventing the release of progeny virions.[2][3]
