ฐานความรู้

Wikipedia Gemcitabine
Gemcitabine, sold under the brand name Gemzar, among others, is a chemotherapy medication used to treat cancers. It is used to treat testicular cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and bladder cancer. It is administered by intravenous infusion. It acts against neoplastic growth, and it inhibits the replication of Orthohepevirus A, the causative agent of hepatitis E, through upregulation of interferon signaling.

Grokipedia Gemcitabine
Gemcitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor and antimetabolite chemotherapy drug that mimics cytidine, a building block of DNA, and interferes with DNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cells, leading to apoptosis primarily in cancer cells.[1] It is administered intravenously over 30 minutes and is approved for the treatment of advanced ovarian cancer (in combination with carboplatin), metastatic breast cancer after failure of prior anthracycline-containing therapy (with paclitaxel), non-small cell lung cancer (with cisplatin), and pancreatic adenocarcinoma as a single agent.[1] First approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1996 for pancreatic cancer under the brand name Gemzar, gemcitabine has since become a standard component in regimens for multiple solid tumors due to its efficacy and relatively manageable toxicity profile.[1]
